PARISH FINANCES
The offertory collection last weekend came to £860 including cheques and standing orders.
Many thanks to all concerned.
THE DIOCESAN
SAFEGUARDING OFFICE
has said that we need to facilitate new DBS checks for all volunteers whose certificates are more than 3 years old. Due to the high number of volunteers in the parish, we will facilitate 10 checks at a time and will be in touch with each volunteer when we are ready. This represents a considerable administrative task and we plan to send out application forms during June. We understand that the process can be inconvenient to some but we are obligated to ensure all volunteers have valid CRB certificates and appreciate your support with this. Chris Emary will be in touch with each volunteer when we are ready to start the process. Please feel free to contact him if you have any queries. Tel no. 07518521286 or 01424 753923. Thank you.

GIFT AID
So what is Gift Aid, I hear you ask?  Gift Aid is a Government scheme which enables charities to reclaim the income tax that you have paid on the money you give to them.   The Diocese is a registered charity.   The parish is part of the Diocese.   So we can reclaim the tax on what you give to the parish, if – but only if – you allow us to do so. We have claimed tax back on our offertory collections but with only limited participation in the scheme. We are seeking to increase the proportion of our weekly collection that we can claim Gift Aid on. If you would like more information on the Gift Aid Scheme or have decided to take part than please fill in your details in the church porch  - We will be taking details after Masses this weekend, 4th/5th June.or here:

PALLOTTINE POST-COMMUNION PRAYER
O Holy Spirit, who by your power raised Jesus to life again, bring us to that day of our resurrection when we will be united once again with those whom we love in the unending happiness of the kingdom of God.

St Vincent Pallotti, pray for us.
