RESPONSORIAL PSALM:  Fill us with your love that we may rejoice.

IMPULSES FOR PRAYER: Wis: 12-16;   Acts 2: 44;   1 Pt 1: 23

MEDITATION:
The Church, the mystical body of Christ, does not worship itself, but worships Christ who is actually present in his Body and in his Blood that the Church receives in the sacrament of the Eucharist, which is its life.

Please email Stephen Calladine-Evans at chair@sacred-heart.e-sussex.sch.uk, simply providing your contact details and indicating your interest in the role. REFUGEE CRISIS

You will hear from him soon and/or from the local council when refugees needing your skills and help arrive in Hastings. If you didn’t sign the parish list but would still like to help the refugees coming to Hastings, just click on the link at http://www.abdiocese.org.uk/ .

CHILDREN AND ADULTS BASIC SAFEGUARDING AWARENESS TRAINING
You can access the EduCare e-learning package for free by contacting the Safeguarding Office: safeguarding@dabnet.org or tel. 01273 241203.
Those who successfully complete the module will receive a certificate.
INEXPENSIVE CHRISTMAS GIFTS AND CARDS TO BENEFIT PERSECUTED CHRISTIANS
The refugees we are hoping to welcome to Hastings and to help will have been brought from the camps. Unfortunately, Christians tend to be too frightened to go to these camps because of the anti-Christian feeling that often exists in them. But you can help Christian refugees by buying Christmas cards and gifts from the Aid to the Church in Need shop at http://www.acnuk.org/products.php  Or you can phone them on 020 8642 8668 and ask them to send you a brochure. In particular, you may wish to buy Advent Calendars from them as they have Nativity scenes on them – such Advent calendars are very hard to find in the shops among the Advent calendars featuring Barbie, Disney characters, Moshi Monsters, Star Wars, Polly Pocket and Fireman Sam.
