DIVINE MERCY GROUP

. All are warmly welcome to join us in the presbytery on the following Mondays at 2.30pm:

May 22^nd, June 5^th, June 19^th, July 3^rd, July 17^th, July 31^st.

There will be no Divine Mercy prayer group during August.

GIFT AID

A reminder to all parishioners that it is very easy to become a member of the Gift Aid scheme. As long as you are a taxpayer, you need only fill in the form available after Mass with a few details and return it to Ann-Marie or Sam. Please note: every £5 you give in Gift Aid is worth £6.25 to St Mary Star of the Sea. Thank you. Would the donor of envelope 25A please contact Lisa Young on 01424 210263 or email her at stmm@btconnect.com as these numbers do not exist on our system. We want to allocate a proper number and a new box of envelopes to the donor.

 

PARISH COMMUNITY CLUB

In the Crypt. Entrance via The Bourne. Mondays 10.30am to 12 noon.  May Programme: 

22^nd: Craft morning. 29^th: Closed – Bank Holiday.

Our new year starts with annual subscription: £3. Non-members welcome: 50p for talks. Coffee/tea & biscuit (maybe cake): 50p. Do join us.

THE KNIGHTS OF ST COLUMBA

is a national organisation for Catholic men. We meet, in this Deanery, every third Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm in the John Fisher room at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church in Magdalen Road, St. Leonard's. We actively raise funds for charities, hold mornings of reflection, go on pilgrimages and enjoy social activities together with our families. Anyone interested in joining should contact our membership secretary on 01424 772887.

The Union of Catholic Mothers Annual Pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation at West Grinstead.....Wednesday 31^st May, 2017 in conjunction with The Knights of St. Columba.

10.30 – 11.00  Coffee

11.00 -  11.40  Spiritual Talk given by Canon Tom Treherne

Followed by preparation for Holy Mass

12.00 – Holy Mass

12.50 – Lunch break (Please bring a packed lunch)

1.45 (approx)  Gather in the church for UCM prayers/KSC prayers

The Holy Rosary (Joyful mysteries) will be prayed – in the garden for those who are able...lead by Canon Tom and Mrs Harkins (Dep President UCM)

For those who find walking difficult – in the Church lead by Mrs Anne Ager (Dio President UCM and Mr Sean Harkins KSC)

This will be followed by Adoration  of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction – led by Canon Tom.

Please remember to bring a donation for the Shrine – suggested amount £5 but please donate what you can.   Many thanks.
