(back of) newlsetter, 19th March 2017

RESPONSORIAL PSALM:  O that today you would listen to his voice!

Harden not your hearts.

Impulses for prayer: Ps 41 (42);   Jn 3:1-21

Meditations:

Oh lamps of fiery blaze

To whose refulgent fuel

The deepest caverns of my soul grow bright,

Late blind with gloom and haze,

But in this strange renewal

Giving to the beloved both heat and light.

PRAYER

Dear God, in the battle that goes on in life,

I ask for a field that is fair.

A chance that is equal in all of the strife,

A chance to do and to dare.

And if I should win, let it be by the code,

With my heart and my honour held high;

But if I should lose, let me stand by the road,

And cheer as the winners pass by.
